Paracletos means lawyer in ancient Greek. Unlike the definition of lawyer today; this lawyer protects the believers against
a non believing world. Paracletos means a Pleader invited to help someone in front of the wordly judge without greed or a confrontational
spirit. The Paracletos has been described as a helper, counselor, comforter or person who advocates for others. Paracletos
is found in John 14:16, 15:26, 16:7 and 18:36. It is the English translation of the Greek word Periclytos which some argue
was a Greek translation from Arabic sources.
The Parcletos Society prefers to define it’s role as “one who consoles those
in times of despair and grief “ and strives to assist those who are “distressed and down”. In that regard, we consider
ourselves an association of people from all walks of life and related organization’s who wish to help humanity thru their humanitarian
efforts.
Both in the physical world and in that of the spiritual world! To this end, the projects we take on are diverse and as varied as there are nations and people in this world.
